In September we took part for the first time in Heritage Open Day events organised by the National Trust.
On the 13th September we held an Open Day at Langley Mill where we showcased our Nottingham Toll Office, our Victorian Pumping Station and hosted accompanied walks along the Cromford Canal to see the work going on at Beggarlee where the Friends of Cromford are restoring a section of canal to include a staircase lock.
On the 21st September we held a combined Open Day at Sandiacre Lock Cottages and Mills Boat Yard. At the Lock Cottages two Shire horses made a repeat appearance. At Mills Boat Yard we were treated to a collection of vintage cars and boats as well as a potted history of the site.
